Ok now that I'm done channelling Gomer Pyle, let me share my joy ... a couple of friends of mine have recently been plagued with last-minute, unexpected out of town trips and they've asked me (to which I always accept) to cat-sit for them (Hi Candela! Cute kitty kitty!).
Well - as a show of appreciation, I was left a surprise on the kitchen counter when I showed up for Candela's afternoon feeding - see below:
And, for its very first use, I made a risotto with vegetable stock - but of course I threw in a few sausages in the end. :)
